I design digital products, experiences, and visual systems — from visual craft to complex platforms.

I'm Bhaskar Bhanja — a Product Designer with 12+ years of experience across visual design, UI/UX, product design, brand identity, web and mobile experiences, and design systems. I started in visual design and gradually moved closer to the product — from visual craft and interface design to UX, complex workflows, and end-to-end product experiences.

My strongest work sits where complexity is high: enterprise products, data-rich interfaces, dashboards, developer tools, and systems that need to stay clear, consistent, and usable as they scale.

How I got here

I started in visual design in 2013, building my foundation in typography, layout, visual systems, and brand work as a Visual Designer at Whitelion Technologies. Over time, my work moved closer to the product — first through UI and interface design as Senior Visual & UI Designer at FusionCharts, where years inside a data-visualization product used by thousands of developer teams taught me the specialization I've built on ever since: how to design when the content is data and the user is technical.

From there, the shift toward product continued: as UI/UX Designer at Testsigma (developer-tool conversion), then Product Designer at InfraCloud (3+ years leading design for a cloud-native company — component library, open-source product UX, and a website redesign that improved conversions ~65%), and Product Designer at Hiver (enterprise support workflows). Today, as Senior Product Designer at Mindteck, I'm doing the purest version of the job on Pure Insights, Everpure's enterprise analytics platform: establishing the brand, the design foundations, and the first dashboard experiences from absolute zero.

What I believe about design

  1. Systems beat screens. A great screen helps once; a great system helps every screen after it. That's why I start every product at the foundations — color, typography, grid, reusable patterns — so quality is inherited by default instead of enforced by review.
  2. For technical audiences, credibility is the conversion strategy. Developers don't trust adjectives. The InfraCloud redesign worked because every page answered "prove it" faster than the old one.
  3. Density is a design problem, not a flaw. Enterprise users don't want less data — they want data organized by someone who understood their job.

Design with strategy & creativity

Remote-first for 5+ years, async by default, and embedded with engineering. I document as I design, frame decisions with tradeoffs, and move from ambiguity to evidence through structured iteration.

01.
Research & Strategy

I start with the problem, the people, the product context, and the constraints—bringing research and business goals together before defining what needs to be solved.

02.
Concept & Ideation

I turn the problem into clear directions, exploring structure, flows, and visual possibilities before committing to the strongest product direction.

03.
Feedback & Refinement

I bring ideas into the open early, using critique and collaboration to challenge assumptions and sharpen the experience. Iteration turns a promising direction into something clear, consistent, and usable.

04.
Testing & Optimization

I test real tasks, edge cases, and interaction details, feeding what I learn back into the design so the experience works as well as it looks.

05.
Launch & Delivery

I work closely with engineering and stakeholders through delivery, resolving details along the way and leaving a foundation that can evolve after launch.
